The Ocean Park Community Association would like to thank our generous business community for contributing to our 6th Annual Easter Egg Hunt in Ocean Park Village. The Association along with Dreyer Group Mortgages hosted 600 people and scattered almost 11,000 eggs for our little hunters. Thank you to Cotton n’ Crayon, Sticky’s Candy Ocean Park, Romancing the Home, Ocean Park Panago, Family Martial Arts, Thrive Movement Studio and RBC Ocean Park for helping to make this event such a great success! We’re looking forward to next year!
With the votes out for the proposed rezoning in area 2 of the Kwomais Park Neighbourhood, opponents and proponents have been making news with their take on what the proposal will mean for the neighbourhood. Read all about it here.
The Amazing Race in Ocean Park Village, Family Edition, will once again take place on Family Day, Monday, February 8, 2016! Expect better challenges, more spontaneity and an AMAZING finish line for this year’s participants! Stay tuned for more info and registration links coming soon.
Leanne Arnott, our avid community supporter and overall lovely person and owner of COBS Bread Ocean Park (and Semiahmoo) recently shared the message below via their Facebook page, of the difficult time their family is currently going through as their young daughter Meghan, struggles with a severe case of Crohn’s disease. If you happen to be at Pacific Centre Mall anytime from now until January 5th, please stop by the COB’s Bread Christmas tree which is part of the B.C. Children’s Hospital’s Festival of Trees and vote for it, or make a small donation for people living with Crohn’s and Colitis disease. All the funds go directly to the Gastroenterology department of B.C. Children’s Hospital.
