Last Saturday the sun was shining as the Ocean Park Community Association and Dreyer Group Mortgage Brokers - Canada celebrated Easter weekend with hundreds of local families out hunting for chocolate eggs (over 10,000 chocolate eggs that is!) Take a look at all of the pics here:

In advance of Earth Day on Saturday, April 22, the Ocean Park Community Association is hosting their own Environmental Challenge in Ocean Park!

Sign up in advance for the Storm Drain Marking Challenge that will take place on Saturday, May 27th at 10:00 am around Ocean Park. Groups will work together to mark as many drains as they can!

After the work, our good friends at Ethical Addiction Apparel will be host a BBQ, and we'll have a Recycling Fair taking place at the Ocean Park Hall too!

Good Morning Ocean Parkers! We're prepping for our Easter Egg Hunt today at Kwomais Park and very excited to see everyone!

As this is a local, community event, we encourage as many people as possible to walk/bike and stroll to the event. Kwomais does not have a lot of parking capacity. :)

Community Connect members don't forget your cards! You will get free entry into the Purely Local Spring Market and entered into a free raffle for some lovely gifts at Ocean Park Nails and Esthetic! Drop by our table to enter!

    Volunteer areas detailed:

  1. Community Events: Provide input into our existing community events, promote the event and help on the day, from manning selfie stations or bouncy castles, to set-up and take-down. If you like event planning, marketing, are social and creative – this work is for you!
  2. Nature/Beautification Projects: Help keep Ocean Park beautiful, and take care of our environment! Help out at our native species work parties at Fun Fun Park and Kwomais Park, dig in at the Ocean Park Community Orchard, or do some litter pick- up around Ocean Park and more! If you like to be outside – this work is for you!
  3. Community Engagement: Brainstorm fun ways to engage with the community with the support of the OPCA! From random acts of kindness, to handing out popsicles at the park on a hot day, or interviewing original Ocean Parkers and telling their stories on the Ocean Parker Blog! If you like to engage with people, like writing/interviewing are friendly and outgoing – this work is for you!
  4. Business: Help promote the Ocean Park Village by running the Ocean Parker Instagram account and profiling the unique storefronts, businesses, community events and activities Ocean Park Village offers. If you are sociable, outgoing, like marketing and/or photography, and are interested in business – this work is for you!
