Ocean Park Hall Rental Guidelines

Thank you for considering the Ocean Park Hall for your function. Below we have listed some guidelines we must share with you, as our hall is located in a residential neighbourhood.

  • Renters must be 25 years of age + to book the hall
  • All social events must be concluded by 12:00 am (midnight) 
  • We have a sound system and a projector screen (The sound system can be rented for $25.00 for your event)
  • Should your event need advertising or Ocean Park community notice for the event there is a back lit board available on the north side of the Hall for a fee of $30.00 for your event
  • If you are serving food be sure to review the FOODSAFE BC Website
  • If you are serving alcohol you must have a person present who has SERVING IT RIGHT. 
  • A SPECIAL OCCASION License is required & should be verified with our Hall Manager.
  • If you are having live music at your event the music should finish no later than 10:30 pm
  • We require a Damage and Key deposit of $200.00 (refunded by mail after your event). 
  • A rental date is only secured once we have the $200.00 deposit. We do not "hold dates".

FAQ's

What is the capacity?
The capacity is 65 people sitting,
​80 people standing.

Do we have tables and chairs?
Yes, we have 18 rectangular tables, at the size of 30" x 71" and 100 folding chairs. The chairs are similar to this style in grey and burgundy colours.  

Do we have to clean the hall?
Yes, you are required to leave the hall the way it was when you came in. However, there is an option to book our hall cleaner. Please inquire when you book. You will still have to put away tables and chairs, clear out your garbage, but the cleaner will sweep and mop the main floor and disinfect the bathrooms and kitchen.

Do we have to take our recycling?
Yes, we do not have recycling at the hall.

Hall Rental Rates

Weekday daytime (before 6pm) rentals for ongoing bookings (minimum 6 sessions, minimum 1.5 hours per session) -
$20 per hour
Weekday evening (after 6pm) rentals for ongoing bookings (minimum 6 sessions, minimum 1.5 hours per session)
$25 per hour

AGM Bookings
$40 per hour, 2 hour minimum

Friday*, Saturday and Sunday rentals - $75 per hour (6 hour booking minimum)
Premiere booking (Friday evening after 6pm for set-up + all-day Saturday (8 am entry - 12am departure) - $1000

Charity and  non-profits receive a 15% discount
OPCA members receive a 15% discount

At time of an approved contract application the $200.00 booking commitment fee (rental deposit + damage deposit) will be required. Please mail or drop-off the cheque made out to the OPCA with the completed form to: Hall Rental Manager 1577-128th St., Surrey, BC – V4A 3V1 or e-transfer the amount to [email protected]

Declaration and By-laws of the Ocean Park Community Association are available on request.

Hall Set-up is the responsibility of the renter.

All submissions are held in private for the viewing of the Hall Manager only. We will respond within 48 hours during the normal business days.
